Community members gathered for a special evening viewing of Fanny’s Journey, a powerful World War II film that tells the story of children fleeing Nazi persecution in search of safety and hope.
The following day, Bladen County 8th grade students also experienced this meaningful film, encouraging reflection on this period in history and its impact on Jewish families.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Leinwand and his family for their generous support in making this learning experience possible.

It is well-worth the effort to properly educate today’s school kids in the moral scourge known as anti-Semitism! The current surge in anti-Semitism has taken root, largely in American and European societies, not only from poisonous political ideologies, but also from deliberate moral corruption within those societies: the deliberate erasure of historical memory of the Holocaust, a willful decay within those societies from their (largely) Christian roots, and an almost total capitulation within those societies to a pernicious and malevolent alliance of socialist and Islamist forces! The Holocaust is a constant and a grim historical reminder of the Nazi era’s depravities, and it is legitimate to note that unchecked mass immigration, academic incompetence, and doctrinal perversion even within our own churches, has all conspired to dismantle the Judeo-Christian foundations of Western civilization—a foundation which, by the way, is profoundly infused with Jewish theology and philosophy, from its monotheistic imperatives to its ethical philosophies which has formed the basis for our system of Western law, morality, and the civil structure of our society! It is only prudent that school children be made aware of this time in our history, and—given the tumultuous day and times in which we now live—learn how to put anti-Semitism and the Holocaust into its correct perspective!
