The Nursing programs at Bladen Community College provides students with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to integrate safety and quality into nursing care to practice in a dynamic environment while meeting the holistic needs of individuals which impacts health, quality of life, and achievement of potential. Course work includes and builds upon the domains of healthcare, nursing practice, and the holistic individual. Content emphasizes the nurse as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing safe, individualized care while employing evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and informatics.

Allied Health courses are structured to teach students theoretical, technical and clinical skills for entry level health care positions. These courses are designed to prepare students to test for a state or industry-recognized credential. Students will gain knowledge consisting of, but not limited to, basic patient care, infection control, communication skills, anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology. These short-term training programs allow students a competitive edge in today’s challenging healthcare industry!
