This scholarship was established in memory or Mary Alice Scoggins for deserving students enrolled in the College Transfer Program at Bladen Community College.

The recipient of the Mary Alice Scoggins Scholarship must be enrolled in the college transfer program at Bladen Community College. Although, academics will not be the primary focus of this scholarship, other criteria will be highly considered, including:

• Financial need

• Extra-curricular activities

• Motivation and determination

• Organizational skills

• Leadership abilities

• Volunteerism

• Commitment of the Community
