This scholarship is to support dedicated individuals pursing their transition from Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Paramedic to Registered Nurse (RN) within the Bridge Program, second-year associate degree nursing students, and students enrolled in BLET, Fire, and EMS training programs.  By providing essential financial assistance, we aim to remove the barriers that aspiring healthcare and public safety professionals encounter in pursuing higher education. Our mission is to empower recipients to elevate their skills, broaden their knowledge, and excel in their careers, ultimately enabling them to make a meaningful contribution to the health and safety of their communities.
                In order to receive the Summit Endowed Scholarship, the student should meet the following criteria:
  • Priority will be given to applicants in the above-mentioned programs, on a rotating basis, such as nursing applicant and then public safety applicant the next year.  If there are no qualified applicants in these areas, the scholarship will then be extended to qualified candidates from other program areas.
  • Demonstrate a financial need through a completed scholarship application and
  • Maintain consistent adherence to all minimum requirements necessary for continued enrollment in the LPN/Paramedic Bridge, Associate Degree Nursing (second-year), BLET, Fire, or EMS training program, recognizing that these requirements may be subject to change.
  • Continue enrollment for the duration of the scholarship
