This scholarship was given by Ms. Farris to recognize a student who is seeking a degree in the business field. Preference will be given to a female student. This scholarship will be funded annually to cover tuition for the fall and spring semesters.

Scholarship Criteria:

• Submit a scholarship application with two letters of recommendation.

• Be a resident of Bladen County.

• Maintain a 2.0 grade point average.

• Be enrolled as a full time student, a minimum of twelve semester hours.

• Be a motivated, capable learner who has a demonstrated economic need as well as having exhausted other resources for financial assistance.

• Continue enrollment for the duration of the scholarship.

• Submit an essay stating why the student has chosen to pursue a career in business and how they believe that this scholarship will help attain their educational goal.
